At this stage, 68 miners of the Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Combine (Ukraine) are continuing their underground strike. The requirements have not changed: higher wages, better working conditions, end of certification violations.
Miners from the Dnipropetrovsk region have been on strike since early September. The strike was attended by workers from the Rodina, Oktyabrskaya, Gvardeyskaya and Ternovskaya mines.
In total, 156 people refused to go to the surface, standing their ground for general requirements for all miners in the region.
According to the chairman of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine – Mykhailo Volynts, on September 25 the miners of the Ternovskaya and Gvardeyskaya mines accepted a compromise in terms from the administration of the mineы and rose to the surface in full. The protest is still continued by 68 workers of Rodina and Oktyabrskaya, insisting on the full satisfaction of their demands.
We express our solidarity with miners who continue to defend their rights to the end. After all, the crisis of the capitalist system constantly reminds of
itself more and more, exposing and exacerbating the contradictions between workers and business owners. The latter, as usual, tend to shift all problems and costs onto the shoulders of ordinary people.
The situation can only be changed by an organized struggle of workers for their economic and political interests.
